Toddler Activity Roundup

We have been having all sorts of fun lately, but I have been behind in sharing our activities. So, I thought I would do a little roundup post, and get a few of them up here at once.

Activity #1 - Pringles can and pipe cleaners

I apologize because I don't know where I found this activity (one of the dangers of waiting so long to share them!) but it is super simple. Take a pringles can, and punch holes in the lid. I color-coded the holes by using those hole reinforcements that you can find in the office supply section at walmart. Then I cut a bunch of pipe cleaners in half and Bubs went to town. He loves this one, and I also made one for his cousin and she loves it too.

Activity #2 - Cut up pool noodle for stringing

This idea was pinned here. Pretty self-explanatory! I will say that Bubs doesn't actually string them very often. He does love to stack ad roll them, though. Many of the little rings have wound up in our bathtub, because they stick to the bathroom wall when they are wet.

Activity #3 - Sorting dried beans

I had initially intended to use the dried beans for a sensory tub, but didn't have enough to fill the usual tub. So instead we just sorted them into a muffin tin. Bubs is very in to sorting right now, for short periods of time. I am sure I will find more uses for the beans over time!

Activity #4 - Pasta Necklaces

I dyed some pasta back when I colored the rainbow rice, and when my niece was over one day I grabbed some pipe cleaners and they had a great time making necklaces. Using the pipe cleaners makes it easy for them to string the pasta, and two pipe cleaners twisted together is just the right length.

  3. I like all those ideas! I've been meaning to cut a noodle and I keep forgetting. And I've never seen the pringles can idea before, but I know my little guy would love that!
